for supporting the ministries of Calvary Episcopal Church

What are God's highest aspirations for you?
  • What are your hopes for your life together with God?
  • What does it mean to be created in God’s image and invited to share in the life of Christ?
  • What does it mean that God is loving and generous?
  • What is involved in being the “real you”?

These are the questions we seek to answer at Calvary.  Calvary’s clergy are always available to help you think through personal questions about what it means to give faithfully back to God.

All that we have and all that we are is a gift of a loving God.

Stewardship at Calvary is about more than supporting the parish financially. It is about managing all of our resources in such a way that God’s mission is furthered by our generous response to God’s love for us.

What does “stewardship” mean? The New Testament Greek word we translate “stewardship” is "oikonomia" which means “administration of the household.” It pertains to the management of our everyday resources. It is closely related to our English word “economy.”

Christian stewardship involves managing the gifts God gives us so as to live into God’s dream for us and move forward together in ministry. People who practice principles of faithful Christian stewardship usually find it helps them manage every area of their lives.
