December 6, 2025
8:00 am - Noon

The St. Nicholas Bazaar is a holiday tradition, and here are some facts about this year’s bazaar, as well as some ways that you can get involved.
This year’s bazaar has many different rooms for shoppers, including Toys, Games, & Puzzles (Room 101) — a shopping paradise for those looking for gently used items for the young and young at heart! The White Elephants return to the basement level with a great selection of items for your home or to give as gifts to others. The Kids’ Shoppe (Chapel) features gift items for young shoppers on a tight budget. A Parish Art Gallery (back lobby) will feature artwork donated by members of the parish, and we’ll even feature a small group of Silent Auction items (upper landing close to the parish hall and chapel) that people can bid on. Finally, this year’s bazaar is offering credit card and Venmo sales at two stations – one on the main level close to the office area, and one on the second level outside the parish hall! You’ll be able to shop throughout the bazaar and pay for your finds at a credit card station!

What’s a St. Nicholas Bazaar without church mice? The Mouse Room (library) will be a very active place again this year, with some of cutest critters you’ll ever see! The Artisan Market (narthex) will feature items crafted by parishioners that will make great gifts or great finds for your home. Vintage Clothing & Accessories (bell tower) will feature some fun fashions from days gone by. Candles (Room 102) will offer Calvary’s famous beeswax rolled candles in a variety of colors, including Advent and Christmas sets. In that same hallway, you’ll find “Bling” (jewelry) and the Bakery & Sweet Shoppe. After all, we have to treat ourselves a bit, too, don’t we? Also in the back lobby will be the Greenhouse, with a wonderful variety of plants for your home, office, dorm room, or to give as gifts. Our raffle items (front hallway) will be on display and ready for you to purchase chances. And of course, in the parish hall we’ll be serving the amazing Country Breakfast – a hearty way to fuel your shopping!

WHY A BAZAAR?
Some churches host bazaars to raise funds for the church itself. The St. Nicholas Bazaar is different, in that all of the proceeds are given back to the community in the form of  local nonprofit agencies. This year, we will be partnering with City of Refuge (local refugee support), Tags of Hope (clothing for local children in foster care), Central Missouri Community Action (Women and Infant Relief Fund), MedZou (free basic healthcare for uninsured local people), Day Dreams Foundation (accessibility to extracurriculars for students), and Food Not Bombs (surplus food distribution to food insecure folks). Last year, more than $10,000 was raised to support agencies, and we hope to continue this important work while having some fun!
