YOU ARE INVITED TO SERVE WITH US AT CALVARY
WORSHIP & PRAYER
From Acolytes to Ushers there are many ways to serve at our worship services on Sundays and weekdays (once we resume worship in the church). We provide this Liturgical Ministries Manual which describes each ministry in detail. For more information or to participate in these ministries contact Tom Frankman.
Altar Guild: This ministry cares for all the linens and paraments for the services in our church. There are guild members at every service to make sure all is well, and the altar is set up correctly. During the quarantine time, the Altar Guild has transformed into a telephone tree calling members to keep us connected even as we isolate. Since we have not even seen the inside of our beloved church and our hearts are waiting to continue our worship services when it's safe to do so. For information or to serve in this ministry, contact Mary Nesladek.
Calvary Choirs: Calvary is blessed with three choirs! While we remain unable to gather safely for in-person singing, small groups and family pods are providing music for our worship services. To join the choir(s), contact Ed Hanson.
Flower Ministry: This ministry arranges for flowers for our sanctuary for Sunday worship. The symbolic gift of flowers expresses Calvary’s love and care for such reasons as get well wishes, birthday and anniversary greetings, and to say, “Your church family is thinking of you.” In the time of this pandemic, Calvary's Flower Ministry has become a card-writing ministry. Instead of receiving flowers, recipients receive a note in the mail, chock full of our church's love and caring. To participate in this ministry, contact Lisa Schenker.
Nursery: Calvary offers nursery care for little ones ages 0 to 4 during Sunday worship. This ministry is temporarily suspended while we are not having in-person gatherings. For information contact the church office.
